Each camper will receive individual instruction designed to meet their specific needs and skill level. This camp consists of classroom and on the track teaching sessions, as well as video analysis and strength/speed training drills.

$80 The EIU Speed Camp is
designed for either the coach or the athlete to further their knowledge
of the science and theory behind sprint training. This will also
provide the opportunity to apply and practice some of the learned
techniques immediately. Coaches and athletes will be able to
analyze video footage of the practice session in a classroom setting to
analyze the technique of running fast. Camp includes: Instruction
and a camp t-shirt; Meals are not provided

at (217) 581-8311 or e-mail Geoff Masanet at: Fee: Non-Commuters $295 Commuters $160 The Distance Running camp features instruction by experienced Professional, Collegiate, and High-school coaches. This camp features tailored training and instruction programs for athletes of all skill levels. The classroom session will include video form analysis, as well as, physiology testing by the Human Performance Laboratory at EIU. The camp culminates with the Panther Prowl road race (5k and 15k), which is monitored by the Charleston Police department to ensure athlete safety.
